LEARNING TO FLY
At 10 weeks old the babies are starting to practice their flying by flapping their wings in the nest. This one already has a 7 ft wing span. They both should fly in a couple of weeks or so.Brian Boyd

Surprise
How exciting it was yesterday afternoon to find and
photograph the second nest of eagles on Lake Waco. This one actually
had these two 10 week old babies on it . They should fly in a few weeks
. We in Waco are very fortunate to have 2 nesting pairs of Bald eagles.
The other pair are currently sitting on eggs right now. The expected due
date is around March 19th or so. The parents of these two babies were
not happy to have us around them , they had not had as much human
contact as the other pair .
