Run in the snow

  The Red-tail is one of the largest hawks, usually weighing between 2
and 4 pounds. As with most raptors, the female is nearly 1/3 larger than
the male and may have a wing span of 56 inches. I was able to get a good
shot of  this one along the roadside the other day.

Cold weather

NEW NESTING YEAR

This morning I saw both eagles sitting on  the new
nest in Reynolds creek . I was over a mile away so my picture wasn't
very good .But at least we know they are getting ready for a new nesting
season. This photo is the male coming into the nest earlier this year.
